Des Moines Scottish Rite One Day Reunion

The brethren of the Des Moines Consistory assembled on Saturday to welcome 10 new Masters of the a Royal Secret into the ranks of the Scottish Rite.

The 4th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 30th, 31st and 32nd degrees were performed in full form by very skilled sound, lighting, stage, prop, technical and ritualistic crews to result in a very successful performance of the degrees.

Notably, the 19th degree, Grand Pontiff,  was performed for the very first time in the Des Moines Valley. This completes a ten year quest by the valley to become one of the very few in the United States that now performs ALL 29 degrees of the Southern Jurisdiction in their entirety. A very impressive feat indeed!

Lunch was served by Dick Hudnall 33° and the Kitchen Crew. It was a fantastic meal consisting of beautiful cuts of pork complimented by cole slaw, baked beans, dinner roll and an ice cream desert! Many comments were made complimenting the stellar meal.

The reunion finished off with a social hour consisting of libations, snacks and fellowship. A very successful reunion for the Des Moines Consistory. The future is bright!
